Two huge entries over at Diaryland, detailing the weekend of the Mr. and Ms. Atlantic Canada Leather contest. Check 'em out here and here.

I'll be posting pictures as soon as I get some scanned. Hopefully some more will trickle in, too.

Hmm, apart from one serious asshole, it sounds like a good time. I can't believe that cretin had the nerve to mistreat Butch and to try to discredit you. Grr. You'll always be Ms Atlantic Canada Leather to me.

You had a crown you had a sash, you had a pannel of like minded judges give said articals of office to you, sounds like a title holder to me! All Hail the Queen...or whatever applicable title fits;-)
I was curious about the comment you made about Kink only showing the 'softer side of kink'. As one who doesn't play, but has oodles of friends who do I am wondering what you mean. I know I have been known to gasp at bruises and bite marks, and this has made it clear to me that there is waaay more going on than my wee little vanilla brain can deal with, I feel sometimes as though my squick level and society's as a whole may be keeping some things out of the light that perhaps need to be in it.
Do you think that shows like Kink help by bringing the 'softer side' into the light, or hurt as it allows us in the vanilla world to believe we have an understanding when clearly we don't have enough information to form one?
Just curious as to your take.

I think I'm going to have to answer this in its own entry.

What's up with a bunch of men deciding who gets to be Ms Atlantic Canada leather, anyway?! We know and like some of them, yes, but wasn't there talk about their being a contest organized by women this year?

I hope they show you and Butch in the best light in the show, and don't skew that whole incident into some completely misconstrued direction.

You and I have both had to deal with the politics around here before, but I'm glad I never had to get up close and ugly with them like you two did at the contest weekend. Just remember to keep being yourself and you're going to look good no matter what. Everyone (including the KINK people) will see the person we see in you. :)

I think it's going you be held in the spring, and be called Atlantic Woman of Leather. Wanna help out? Wanna enter? It's where we plan on me passing off my sash to the next person in line.

Nice. Yes, I do think I'd be interested (at least in helping out, anyway).

A four-word response to the person who harmed Butch and ruined your fun...

Hey, It me the ex. Wow, what an adventure you had. And I am to understand you are going to be on Kink? Very cool. You will have to tell me when it is on. I am so sorry that guy was an ass. I hope your complaint goes some where. It seems that in any organization their is power hungry idiots. I have had several political disagreements with the local head of the lesbian Mom's and it is usually fruitless to bother trying to resolve something with these kind of people. I hope you are well your picture is cute. You can check out my blog www.2mommies1boy.blogspot.com it is just my boring ramblings on life and my opinions, certainly not as exciting and racy as yours. It use to have pictures of the boy, but I took them down because weirdo's were visiting my blog and it didn't feel safe. Their are a few old pics of me and one new of lesley.

Big Hugs,
Catherine
